Hope your weather is as fine as ours here in DC. I imagine that you are having a great time and seeing lots of cool things. Probably playing soccer on the beach and ingesting only disease free foods. Probably meeting lots of new friends and improving your Spanish. Probably having a hard time finding an internet cafe ...

Well, so not to be outdone by my tech dork father, i guess i should begin my first blog response. I am very jealous of your travels as temperatures here have yet to climb out of the 60s. My friend from Brazil assures me they know how to treat foreigners there, so no worries Nick, there will be many more cans of beer in ice buckets. As I write this, I am attempting to study for my final physics quiz but am being distracted by images of strange foreign, air-conditioned buses and my sister trying to explain that Jim McClave is the reason she can't quite keep up with the volleyball soccer gods on the beach. I miss being able to call Andrea on my way back from class but I figure saving the world in south america is a pretty good excuse. hope all is well down in the real south. take good care of my sister- make sure she wears her sunscreen. love jessica jupiter.

This blog is a lot of fun to read, and the photos are great. Thanks for giving us the chance to travel virtually..
I hope the rain has cleared and you are all at your new destinations. If I remember correctly that Curitiba is the sustainable city, perhaps Lauren and Andrea will find some new "green" ideas to bring home...
